Jordan Jones, 30, a Horsham resident and former school resource officer at Abington High School who was accused of institutional sexual assault, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors in February, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to having sexual relations with a 17-year-old female student on five or more occasions, Mainline Media News reported today.
According to the story, Jones also admitted to a charge of attempted institutional sexual assault with a second female student when she was between the ages of 18 and 19 during the 2022-23 school year.
The open guilty plea means Jones has no deals with prosecutors regarding his potential sentence. He faces a possible maximum sentence of 11.5 to 23 months in prison, though state sentencing guidelines could allow for a lesser sentence.
News of a second victim came out in September. Jones allegedly told the female student “he wanted her to cook for him in his kitchen while she was naked,” and explained “what sexual acts he wanted to perform with her,” according to court papers.
In May, Abington School District superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Fecher sent a letter to the community announcing that five new charges were filed against Jones involving additional counts of criminal attempted sexual intercourse with a former Abington Senior High School student during their enrollment.
