Ex-Abington officer accused of assaulting high school student faces new charges from second victim

Jordan Jones, 30, a Horsham resident and former school resource officer at Abington High School who was accused of institutional sexual assault, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors in February, is facing additional charges of improper contact with another female student, the Pottstown Mercury reported.

The second victim is filing charges against Jones for institutional sexual assault in connection with alleged incidents that occurred during the 2022-23 school year when she was between the ages of 18 and 19. Jones allegedly told the female student “he wanted her to cook for him in his kitchen while she was naked,” and explained “what sexual acts he wanted to perform with her,” according to court papers.

In May, Abington School District superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Fecher sent a letter to the community announcing that five new charges were filed against Jones involving additional counts of criminal attempted sexual intercourse with a former Abington Senior High School student during their enrollment.

Abington Police Chief Patrick Molloy’s subsequent statement on the arrest can be found here.

Jones has a preliminary hearing on September 19 regarding the original charges, at which time a trial date is expected to be set, the Mercury said.

He remains free on $50,000 bail and, if convicted of a third-degree felony, faces a possible maximum sentence of 3.5 to 7 years in prison.
