Church Road, Wyncote, PA 19095 Who: Karen Ploch, Curator of the Historical Society of Montgomery County This project started in 2021 and is a community collaborative mapping project. Mapping MontCo. Black History is a project designed to give the public an online interactive platform to engage with local Black history. Each spot on the map is connected to people, organizations, and historic moments in our county's history. This is an ongoing project and we realize there are likely many stories that are not yet documented on this map. If you know a location that needs to be added to this map, please come out to the event and share it with us or send an email to karenp@hsmcpa.org so it can be added! Karen Ploch is the Curator at the Historical Society of Montgomery County, PA (HSMC). She has a B.A. in History with a Museum Studies Minor from SUNY Oswego. After obtaining her M.A. in History with a concentration in Museum Studies from UNC Greensboro, Karen came to Pennsylvania to work at HSMC.
