Dr. Jonathan Grohsman, M.D., Ph.D, an Elkins Park (Cheltenham Township) resident and an ophthalmologist with a practice in Jenkintown, passed away at home on Saturday, August 30.

Dr. Grohsman spent many years teaching at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He was also a staff member at Temple University, his obituary said.

“He was one of the first Ophthalmologists in America to use the YAG laser to treat Glaucoma patients to save vision,” his obituary said.

According to Medical News Today, Dr. Grohsman graduated from Temple University Lewis Katz School of Medicine in 1977 and completed a residency at Temple University Hospital.
