Dr. Alexander Pedicino, former Huntingdon Valley resident and longtime physician at Holy Redeemer Hospital, has passed away at 76

Dr. Alexander “Al” R. Pedicino, M.D., a former resident of Huntingdon Valley and a longtime physician at Holy Redeemer Hospital, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 26. He was 76.

Dr. Pedicino graduated from St. Joseph’s University in 1971 and went on to Thomas Jefferson Medical College, graduating with a Medical Degree in 1975, his obituary said. He began as a Family Practice Physician in 1978 at Holy Redeemer.

“His life was defined by service, compassion and integrity. He was admired not only for his wisdom in Medicine but also for the kindness with which he treated every patient, colleague and friend,” his obituary said. “He had a true gift for making everyone feel seen and valued. He listened deeply, laughed easily and gave of himself freely.”

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, October 1st from 6 to 7:30pm at St. Albert the Great Church, 212 Welsh Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. There will be an additional viewing Thursday, October 2nd from 9 to 10:30am at the St. Albert the Great as well. His Funeral Mass will follow at 11am. Interment will take place at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham.
