PennDOT announced that utility construction will continue on Route 73 (Church Road) in Cheltenham Township from Monday, February 3 through Friday, May 30.
Officials said the $10.8 million project is intended to improve traffic flow and safety on Church Road at Greenwood Avenue and Rices Mill Road intersections.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, February 3, through Friday, May 30, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 73 (Church Road) will be closed and detoured weekdays between Easton Road and Washington Lane. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Easton Road, Route 309 (Ogontz Avenue/Cheltenham Avenue), and Washington Lane.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
