Chilean national, member of an organized burglary crew that targeted 12 Abington homes, sentenced 8-17 years

Claudeo Alexander Fuentez-Soto, 26, a Chilean national and member of an organized burglary crew that targeted homes in Montgomery, Chester and Delaware counties, was sentenced to eight to 17.5 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to seven felony burglary charges, Mainline Media News reported.

He was arrested by Lower Merion Township police on December 10, 2023.

The arrest came a day after four individuals believed to be connected to twelve residential burglaries of high-end homes in the Meadowbrook section of Abington Township were arrested. Some of the burglaries dated back to 2021, police said, and were being committed by South American theft groups entering the United States, mostly from Chile and Colombia.

Fuentez-Soto was ordered to pay $395,174 in restitution in connection with the case, Mainline Media said.
