Cheltenham Township shares Facilities Study presentation: Scope, estimated costs & proposed demolition of Glenside/Conklin pools

Cheltenham Township has shared 53 slides from its July 26 presentation regarding the ongoing Facilities Study.

The total cost of the proposed projects ranges from $105 million to $142.2 million and its stated objectives are:

  • Assess existing aging facilities
  • Invest in a fiscally strategic way
  • Provide first class facilities for Residents, Taxpayers, and Township Staff
  • Reinforce, encourage, and build a desirable, sustainable, and resilient community

Among its “broad spectrum of solutions” is a “hybrid option” which includes the consolidation of local libraries and pools, including the recommended demolition of Glenside and Conklin pools, into a community center at Wall Park.
