The Cheltenham High School boys’ and girls’ track and field teams each captured a Suburban One Freedom Division championship over the weekend.
According to district officials, the Lady Panthers posted 195.50 points to best Lower Moreland High School’s score of 144.50.
Michelle Korsah took two golds in the 300 hurdles (47.14) and 100 hurdles (14.90), and Amirah Nesmith won the 100 meters in 11.98, 200 meters in 24.94, and long jump with a leap of 17-9.75. Marie Codio won the shot put with a throw of 33-11.75, and the 4×100 relay won in 51.51.

The Panther boys’ team finished with 217 points to second place William Tennent’s score of 109.
The team saw wins in both the 4x100M (43.18) and 4x400M (3:25.38) team relays. The following student-athletes won their events on the track:
- William Edgar, 3,200M (9:51.21)
- Jordan Grady, 300M hurdles (39.82)
- Kisi Bamgbala, 100M (11:28)
- Adam Rodgers, 110 hurdles (15.63)
- Jordan Sowell, 200M (22.49).
On the field, Theo Maher cleared 11 feet to win the pole vault, Nate Hoffman won the high jump (5-8), Bamgbala won the long jump (19-10.75) and Isaiah Keyes was first in the triple jump with a leap of 44-3.
