Cheltenham football grabs Senior Night win against Upper Moreland, graduating Panther Cheer, marching band members honored

Cheltenham High School football grabbed a Senior Night win against the Upper Moreland Golden Bears on Friday, October 13.

The Panthers finished the game with a 20-14 lead to keep their Suburban One League title and playoff hopes alive. University of North Carolina at Charlotte-bound Tre McLeod scored two touchdowns and quarterback Jon Ingram (pictured above) ran a 60-yard touchdown to pace the Cheltenham offense.

According to local historian Chuck Langerman, the game marked the programs’ 50th meeting since 1936, with the Panthers now leading the series 31-19. The Panthers will travel to Warminster on Friday, October 20 to meet the William Tennent Panthers in their next league matchup. 

Senior Night also took time to honor graduating members of the Panther Cheer squad, including Riley Desphy, Laura Heimsoath, Suhaylah Griffin Jones, Inioluwa Omosule, Trinity Peak, Khamora Tucker, Ryan Williams and Ayris Agard.


Graduating members of the marching band were honored as well.
