Cheltenham standout running back Tre McLeod verbally commits to University of North Carolina at Charlotte

Tre McLeod, a senior at Cheltenham High School and one of the most recruited running backs in the state, announced his verbal commitment to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte on Sunday, September 17.

McLeod has reportedly received offers from Penn State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Maryland, Nebraska, and the University of Mississippi, among others.

According to PAFootballNews.com, McLeod’s junior year totaled 936 rushing yards on 87 carries, averaging 10.8 yards a carry for six touchdowns. In three games this season, he has 411 yards on 35 carries, averaging 11.7 yards per carry and 137 yards per game with four touchdowns.
