Cheltenham Fire Company puts out brush fire caused by damaged power lines, power being restored

The Cheltenham Fire Company announced that firefighters responded to a small woods fire near Tookany Creek Parkway at 11:45am today.

According to officials, the fire was caused by power lines which came in contact with a tree.

“The fire has been extinguished, and power is being restored,” the company said in a post. “With windy conditions, be cautious around electric wires—if you see something, report it!”
