Forecasters issue Flood Watch throughout Montgomery County

The National Weather Service announced today that as much as 4-6 inches of heavy rain is expected along the I-95 corridor from around Philly to Trenton this afternoon/evening.

“While not everybody in this area will experience that rainfall, those that do can expect flash flooding,” the agency said in a post. “Make sure to have a way to receive any warnings that are issued, and follow them closely.”

A Flood Watch is in effect throughout greater Glenside from 10:00am until 10:00pm. Most of the rainfall is expected between 5:00pm and 8:00pm.
