At approximately 7:00pm Sunday evening firefighters were dispatched to a substantial blaze on the side of a road. The fire, which was caused by a derailed car, had extended to brush and leaves on an adjacent property by the time officials arrived.

McKinley Fire Company’s Squad 200 contained the vehicular and brush fires with the help of Rockledge Fire Company’s Engine 200 and Engine 9.
