A roaming coyote described as “aggressive” by Cheltenham Township police was shot and killed by police after attacking a dog, CBS News reported on Saturday.

The coyote was spotted near Curtis Park, Hopeland Road, Washington Lane and Rock Creek Drive, police said.

Cheltenham police put out an alert on Friday advising residents not to approach the coyote and to call 9-1-1 immediately if it is spotted.
