The Cheltenham Township Police Department announced at approximately 4:00pm today that multiple reports have been received of an aggressive coyote in the area of Curtis Park/Hopeland Road/Washington Lane/Rock Creek Drive in Wyncote.

According to their post, the coyote was unable to be located after officers and drones searched the area.

“The Pennsylvania Game Commission is aware and will be sending officers to survey the area,” police said.

The post advises residents not to approach the coyote and to call 9-1-1 immediately if it is spotted. Small domestic animals should be kept indoors for the time being, police said.
