Bradley Cooper to write, direct and star in ‘Ocean’s’ prequel with Margot Robbie

Bradley Cooper will write, direct and star alongside Margot Robbie in an “Ocean’s” prequel dated for June 25, 2027, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The film does not yet have a title and details are being kept under wraps, but when the project was first announced in 2022, it was known to be an original “Ocean’s Eleven” tale that was set in Europe in the 1960s.

From The Hollywood Reporter’s coverage:

As far as the Ocean’s movie, Lee Isaac Chung had previously been attached, but departed last month due to creative differences. A joint statement from Warner Bros. and LuckyChap released at the time read, “Lee Isaac is a singular filmmaking talent whose vision and partnership have been invaluable to Warner Bros. and LuckyChap throughout this journey. Our experience with him has only deepened our enthusiasm to collaborate on future projects together.”

The Jenkintown/Abington native recently directed “Is This Thing On?” where he played a supporting role alongside Laura Dern, Andra Day, Amy Sedaris, Sean Hayes, Christine Ebersole and Ciarán Hinds.
