Amanda Sheridan, a Glenside resident and a mother of seven (with another on the way), has had a busy year.
In February, she and her husband launched Steak It Easy, a sandwich-centric eatery at 2259 Hamilton Avenue in Willow Grove. Five months later, Sheridan opened Bella’s Cremeria 448 N Easton Road in Glenside, the former home of Carminati Creamery which closed in August 2025.
A South Philly native, Sheridan said it’s been her and her husband’s dream to own a cheesesteak shop and a creamery.
“I always wanted a place of my own, and I really like showing off our Philly-inspired food,” she said. “It’s been exciting to see people’s reactions to our menu.”
Bella’s Cremeria offers ice cream, gelato, artisan frozen goods, cheesecake, burgers and cheesesteak egg rolls.
“I love Glenside. I have great neighbors and it’s exciting to be on Easton Road. We were there every day for a month getting everything ready,” she said. “We’re family-owned and family-oriented. I want to be the place the kids go.”
Steak It Easy offers a variety of Philly-style cheesesteaks and cheesecakes, along with other fried and grilled classics.
Sheridan said the Willow Grove shop can be a little hard to find, but once customers try their food, word spreads.
“We’ve had people tell us they’ve driven over an hour to try one of our cheesesteaks. The Google reviews have been great,” she said.
