Arcadia University’s Senior Basketball guard, Brandon Thompson received the Sam Cozen Award from the Philadelphia Area Small College Association, on Monday. This award is named after the legendary coach of Drexel University from 1952-1968. Sam Cozen had more wins then any other coach in the schools history, and lead the Dragons to 11 Middle Athletic Conference Championships.
Brandon Thompson, a 6′ 2″, Philadelphia native, earned his award by putting 622 points on the Knights score board since his sophomore year, after transferring from Valley Forge Military College.
Local, Brandon Thompson was captain of his Conestoga High School team and was named MVP of the Mainline All Star game in addition to making the Second Team All Conference, in 2012.
For the Knights, Brandon Thompson is averaging 78.6 % at the fowl line and 9.5 points per game. Arcadia’s current record is 2 wins and 9 losses overall, and a MAC Conference record of 7-5.
