Arcadia University of Glenside/Wyncote (Cheltenham Township) will offer a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program beginning in fall 2026.
The new program will be situated in the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics and aims to prepare professionals to safeguard digital systems, organizations, and communities. Students will learn how to secure networks, detect and mitigate cyber threats, navigate the ethical and legal dimensions of digital security, and communicate complex technical concepts across diverse professional settings.
According to the announcement, coursework is paired with hands-on practice, competitions, mentorship from both faculty and industry professionals, and access to Arcadia’s global learning experiences. Graduates will enter the workforce with credentials, including the two leading certifications according to cyberseek.org: Security+ and CISSP.
“Cybersecurity is a rapidly evolving field that demands both technical expertise and ethical clarity,” said Dr. Vitaly Ford, associate professor and director of Computer Science and Cybersecurity programs. “Arcadia’s program is intentionally designed to send graduates into the field fully job-ready, demonstrating real technical competency to think critically, lead with integrity, and adapt to new challenges. By combining embedded certifications, experiential learning, and our distinctive global perspective, we are preparing students not just for their first job, but for a lifetime of meaningful work.”
