Arcadia Looks to “What’s Next?” for Fourth Annual Tedx Event April 14

From envisioning how America’s prison system needs change to investigating how dance inspires children,  TEDx Arcadia University: “What’s Next?”  on April 14 will encourage attendees to ask how their passions can change the Philadelphia region.

Speakers for “What’s Next?” include leaders from throughout the region, such as

  • Dr. Doreen Loury, assistant professor of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice and director of the Pan African Studies Program at Arcadia, who is an expert in the areas of race, class and gender equity, culture and media, multicultural and pluralism educational competencies and organizational research and evaluation;
  • Honorable Christopher Cerski, J.D., adjunct professor of Historical and Political Studies at Arcadia, a Montgomery County District Judge and  advocate of progressive restorative justice practices for teens and young adults; and
  • Kate Lombardi, managing director of  Dancing Classrooms Philly, where she promotes social dance spark an artistic flare in children throughout the region.

TEDx Arcadia University: “What’s Next?” is the fourth TEDx conference organized by the University’s Honors program. The conference will be split up into three sessions: 10 a.m. to noon; 1 to 2:45 p.m.; and 3 to 4:45 p.m., in the University Commons Great Room, 450 S. Easton Road, Glenside.
