[Update: Corrected with the working URL for the Viebit system.]

Abington residents looking to spend an evening watching their government at work on the screen of their choice will need to bookmark a new link. The township announces it’s leaving YouTube for Viebit.

As of May 2019, Abington Township will use Viebit, a video streaming platform, to store all recorded Township meetings and events for 24-hour access.

The Township has chosen to transition to this platform because it allows for greater categorization of meetings, indexing of video content, additional searching and sorting features, as well as, more content control than other platforms, making it easier for users to find the videos and content they are looking for.

The announcement did not say if their is any additional cost as a result of this move.

The Township’s Viebit site can be accessed by visiting https://abingtonpa.viebit.com, where users will find all content since 2017.

If looking for video content prior to 2017, please visit the Township’s YouTube page at www.youtube.com/user/AbingtonTownship
