The Abington Township Board of Commissioners will resume a public hearing regarding the proposed life care facility and nursing home at 1209 Rydal Road on Thursday, June 4, at 6:30pm at the Abington Township Municipal Building.
According to the township’s notice, the board will take action on Willow Grove-based Chaverim Realty Partners, LLC’s application requesting Conditional Use approval pursuant to Section 301 of the Abington Township Zoning Ordinance to permit Use E-10: Life Care Facility (Continuing Care) and Use E-12: Nursing Home in the R-1 Low-Density Residential Zoning District.
Chaverim Realty Partners, LLC purchased the property in 2019 for $600,000. The 7.79-acre, 5,000 sq estate has five bedrooms, 5 full/3 half bathrooms, and 24 parking spaces.
Township officials held a Conditional Use Hearing in June 2023, a public hearing in January 2024, and another public hearing in July 2025, among other hearings regarding the property’s plans.
Tuesday’s hearing is a continuation from a public hearing held in April.
