Joe Hoffman, a volunteer firefighter with Abington Fire Company, was recently featured by 6ABC Action News for his service in the community.

The article mentions Hoffman’s time with Marine One when he protected President George W. Bush from 2004 to 2008 and goes on to discuss his decision to volunteer in Abington.

“I think it’s just as rewarding for you as it is for the people you’re helping,” he said. “”In everything I do, I think of leaving whatever I’m doing better than when I got there. As long as when I came in and I leave it better, I’m happy.”
