Abington Township celebrated the installation of the new playground at Rockwell Park on Monday, May 12, alongside representatives from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Commissioner Young-Gertz, and township staff.

According to the announcement, the project was funded through HUD’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, which provided $275,000 to replace 20-year-old equipment.
