Randy Garber, a 1971 alum and longtime head coach of the Abington Senior High School boys’ soccer team, has been named the recipient of the 2025 W. Gene Davis Memorial Award as Coach of the Year in the Male AAAA classification, the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association (PSCA) announced today.
Coach Garber will receive the award at the PSCA Honors and Awards Banquet held January 31 in Harrisburg.
Following Abington’s state title win on November 21, Garber announced that he is stepping down after 32 years as head of the program. For more on his career as well as his thoughts on the Ghosts’ state championship, you can read Glenside Local’s previous coverage here.
