Karston Chan, 22, of Abington, was charged with misdemeanors of unlawful restraint, simple assault, and invasion of privacy on Wednesday, July 2, following an incident at Simmons Hall on Penn State University’s State College campus during which he allegedly beat and raped a woman, Northcentralpa.com reported.
While having consensual sex in his dorm room on September 9, 2024, the victim “immediately told Chan she did not want him to ejaculate inside of her vagina due to her fear of becoming pregnant. Chan then bit her neck hard enough to draw blood, and said, ‘Your blood tastes like s***,'” according to the report.
He then allegedly held the victim down and repeatedly struck her face and head after she told him to stop trying to take a video with his phone, police said. The video was later seized by police as evidence.
Police obtained a search warrant for Chan’s cell phone and DNA after the victim reported the incident on September 10. He was arrested after being found inside his car.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 30.
