Cheltenham Township announced that the Tookany Creek Parkway bridge at Carter Lane is closed to pedestrian access until further notice.

Pedestrians are advised to use New Second Street, Kingston Road, and Wetherwill Road/Wessel Way as a detour, as shown below:

In related news, the township’s Glenside Flood Control Project survey will be continued through July and August via aerial drones and crews on the ground.

The project stems from a Hurricane Irene-related T.S. Lee flood event in 2011, during which a levee overflowed at the Brookdale Avenue pump station.
