Abington Declares Snow Emergency

Effective 9:00 p.m. tonight March 6, until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday March, 8, Abington has declared a snow emergency. During this time, parking on designated snow emergency routes is strictly prohibited. The Plows need to be able to efficiently clear these roads, therefore no parked vehicles are permitted. Any vehicles that are parked on these streets during the snow emergency will be towed, ticketed or impounded. See below for the list of emergency routes.

Abington Township also wants to remind the residents to please clear your sidewalks within 24 hours after snow stops falling. Corner properties must clear sidewalks for pedestrians to cross the street.  Make sure the fire hydrants are not covered with snow or blocked by vehicles. Please also be on the look out for neighbors in need of assistance.
