Jefferson Abington Hospital has been recognized by the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) for outstanding performance in patient safety.

HAP’s Excellence in Patient Safety Recognition program, now in its eighth year, honors the Commonwealth’s top-performing hospitals that have demonstrated low rates of healthcare-associated infections, embraced continuous quality improvement, and achieved exemplary results through their hard work and dedication.

The 2026 honorees were selected based on their performance during 2025. Top-performing hospitals were identified by HAP using data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Healthcare Safety Network.

The 2026 Excellence in Patient Safety Recognition recipients were announced at HAP’s Patient Safety, Quality, and Equity Symposium held September 3 in Hershey.
