Jenkintown Borough to pass budget on Dec. 10, no tax increases for 2nd straight year

Jenkintown will present its 2026 budget to borough council on Wednesday, December 10.

According to borough manager George Locke, residents will not see a tax increase for the second straight year.

“This was our second cycle in a row where we didn’t have to increase real estate tax millage,” Locke said. “We kept our expenses within one percent of what they were in 2024 and we’ve reduced the police department budget. We’re bringing on a human resource firm to administer human resources for 32 borough employees.”
