Leza Raffel, an Abington Township resident and president/founder of The Communication Solutions Group, Inc. in Jenkintown, has been appointed to the Montco Gateway Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

Raffel has been an active member of the Chamber for 32 years and currently serves on the Marketing Advisory Council. Her company received the “Soaring 76 Award” in 2023 and the “Philly 100 Award” from the Philadelphia Business Journal twice because of its rapid growth. Former Governor Ed Rendell awarded her the “Best 50 Women in Business” Award in 2009. 

Over 115 college students have interned at Communication Solutions, which earned her the 2023 “Commitment to Education Award” from the Philadelphia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. This same organization has also given Communication Solutions three Pepperpot Awards for PR campaigns. 

Raffel also serves on the Penn State Abington Business Advisory Board and conducts media training annually at UCLA and at professional association conferences nationwide.

Raffel is a graduate of Ithaca College, where she earned a B.S. in communications.
