Five cockatiels have recently been rescued in the area of Springfield Township, 6ABC reported late last week.

One of the birds was recently adopted by Emily Nagy and her mother, Katie, a Glenside resident and published author.

According to their coverage, the birds may have come from the Montgomery County SPCA, which is conducting an investigation. Animal officers are urging anyone with information about where the birds came from to come forward.
