Bradley Cooper, a Jenkintown/Abington native, is directing Will Arnett in a new movie titled “Is This Thing On?”, Variety reported today.
The film follows a man (Arnett) who steps “into the existential spotlight of stand-up,” Variety wrote. Cooper will play a supporting role alongside Laura Dern, Andra Day, Amy Sedaris, Sean Hayes, Christine Ebersole and Ciarán Hinds. The film is expected to debut in December.
From Rottentomatoes.com:
As their marriage quietly unravels, Alex (Will Arnett) faces middle age and an impending divorce, seeking new purpose in the New York comedy scene while Tess (Laura Dern) confronts the sacrifices she made for their family–forcing them to navigate co-parenting, identity, and whether love can take a new form.
Cooper also directed 2018’s “A Star is Born” and 2023’s “Maestro.”
Variety reported earlier this week that Cooper is also in talks to star alongside Margot Robbie in an “Ocean’s Eleven” prequel. According to The Hollywood Reporter, details are being kept under wraps, but when the project was first announced in 2022, it was known to be an original Ocean’s Eleven tale that was set in Europe in the 1960s.
