Ahmed Soliman, a Temple Health surgeon with an office in Abington Township, has a daughter named Ameena Soliman, who is the Philadelphia Eagles’ director of football operations.
Ameena joined the Eagles as an intern in 2018 and after interning with Temple University’s football program. A former martial arts instructor, Ameena was promoted to pro scout and is credited with recruiting future Hall of Fame running back Saquon Barkley and linebacker Zack Baun, according to Philly Burbs.
From her biography on the Eagles’ website:
Ameena Soliman was named director of football operations/pro scout by the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2024 offseason. Overall, she enters her seventh season working for the organization’s player evaluation staff.
Soliman has worked as a pro scout for the Eagles dating back to the 2021 campaign. In 2022, she added the title and responsibilities of director of personnel operations before being named to her current post. Furthermore, she served as a player personnel coordinator from 2019-20 after originally joining the team as a player personnel intern during the 2018 season.
In 2020, Soliman was named a Scott Pioli & Family Fund recipient. The annual grant aims to promote the development, education and training of aspiring female football coaches and scouts who are pursuing careers in collegiate or professional football.
Prior to joining the Eagles, Soliman worked as a player personnel assistant with the NFL league office from 2017-18. In addition, Soliman served as a football operations and recruiting graduate assistant with Temple University during the 2017 season.
A native of Yardley, PA, Soliman graduated Summa Cum Laude with an undergraduate degree in finance and marketing and also earned a master’s degree in sports business from Temple.
