Governor Josh Shapiro announced last month that three projects in greater Glenside will receive grants through the Commonwealth’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP).
RACP, administered by the Governor’s Office of the Budget, is a reimbursement grant program that supports essential design, acquisition, and construction projects across the Commonwealth. The program funds projects with regional or multi-jurisdictional impact, promoting economic growth, creating jobs, increasing tax revenue, and contributing to vibrant, resilient communities.
The funds listed below are part of a $124,453,398 investment in 129 projects across Southeastern Pennsylvania:
- Jenkintown School District will receive $500,000 to support campus infrastructure improvements including drainage, accessibility, security, and new community gathering spaces.
- Springfield Township Middle School will receive $500,000 to support school additions and renovations including HVAC, accessibility, and auditorium upgrades.
- Upper Moreland Police Station III will also receive $500,000 to support site preparation and infrastructure work for a new police station.
More details about the RACP can be found here.
