Huntingdon Valley burglar arrested, Lower Moreland police seeking information/video regarding a possibly related second incident

The Lower Moreland Police Department announced today the arrest of Giorgi Maxarashvili, 41, in connection with a residential burglary in a neighborhood near Pine and Red Lion roads in Huntingdon Valley on July 11, 2023.

According to the report, video revealed two white males speaking Russian to one another as they entered the rear of the property by climbing over a privacy fence and then kicking in a rear door.

“Both offenders brought flashlights with them and Suspect 2 appeared to have brought kitchen-sized trash bags with him, one of which was used to carry away the stolen items,” the report said. 


Cash, gold and silver, and a few designer items and jewelry were stolen, police said, noting that an attempted burglary in the same neighborhood took place on July 14, 2023 at 10:00pm. If you have information and/or surveillance video from this date and time, please contact Detective Halota at 215-947-3132.

Maxarashvili was arrested on October 16, 2024, following an investigation. The case has since been closed, police said.
