During the Lower Moreland Township Board of Commissioners’ meeting on Tuesday, July 9, members of Bryn Athyn Fire Company, Huntingdon Valley Fire Company, and Lower Moreland Township Police Department received a Certificate of Achievement from Commissioners and a Citation from Representative Nancy Guenst for their lifesaving efforts in resuscitating a 43-year-old woman who had collapsed from sudden cardiac arrest in December 2023.
“With the quick action of bystander CPR and response from EMS, Police and Fire personnel, the female was successfully resuscitated, after being defibrillated by EMS personnel. She was discharged to home on December 23, 2023 with no deficits. The quick acting of all those involved is a testament to the training and expertise of these first responders,” Bryn Athyn Fire Company said in a post.

In related news, the Lower Moreland Police Department welcomed two new officers to their force: Officers John Kradzinski and J’Von Brown, each of whom were sworn in during the Board of Commissioner’s meeting.
The department said both officers came to Lower Moreland with experience from the SEPTA Police Department.
“Please say hello and welcome them when you see them around the township,” the department said in a statement.
