The Greater Glenside Patriotic Association (GGPA) will host the 11th annual “Keep the Parade Running” fundraiser on Saturday, April 13 at 8:00am.
There are 10 age categories for the race, which starts and ends at North Penn Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 676, Jenkintown and Easton Roads.
The event is crucial to keeping alive Glenside’s three-tier, family-friendly Independence Day celebration. It helps pay the nearly $70,000 cost of the 4th of July festivities, which include a children’s program, after-dark fireworks, and the Glenside Parade.
Sign-ups for the 5K and 1 mile walk can be found here.
Organizers are seeking volunteers from 7:15am – 9:00am on race day to stand at the race corner to help with traffic/cheering/directing runners and walkers. Volunteers are also needed to run the water station.
