Oak Lane Diner, just outside Elkins Park, is making a comeback

The former owner of the Oak Lane Diner at 6528 N Broad Street is planning a reboot after a fire closed the restaurant in 2015.

A mixed-use development with 65 apartments for seniors is in the works for the location. The proposal calls for a new diner on the first floor, office space on the second, and apartments above.

A grand opening date has not been set.
