Governor Josh Shapiro has publicly criticized protestors who gathered outside Goldie Falafel, a Jewish restaurant in Philadelphia, on Sunday night.
Goldie is owned by Michael Solomonov, an Israeli whose brother died in combat while volunteering with the Israel Defense Force.
A video of the protest can be found below:

From Shapiro’s Facebook post:
Tonight in Philly, we saw a blatant act of antisemitism — not a peaceful protest.
A restaurant was targeted and mobbed because its owner is Jewish and Israeli. This hate and bigotry is reminiscent of a dark time in history.
I’ve communicated tonight with Michael and his team at Goldie to share our support and Lori and I look forward to breaking bread there with them again soon.
Solomonov, who has won multiple prestigious James Beard culinary awards, spoke at Beth Sholom Congregation in Elkins Park in April.
