Take a quick peek inside New Life Presbyterian and St. Paul’s Lutheran churches, two of many voting sites around Montgomery County, to get a sense of how the 2022 General Election on Tuesday, November 8 was held.
Five election officials were present at Ward 13-1, including David Ennis, Esq, Judge of Elections, Jeff Hawkins, Esq., Minority Inspector of Election, David Coopersmith, volunteer poll watcher, and Jeff Frazier, operator of the Dominion Voting Machine.
“We were busy! I think we had 622 walk-in voters and 154 mail-ins out of a universe of voters in the 13th Ward,” Jeff Frazier, who worked the polls from 7:00am to 8:00pm, said.
Poll workers are an all-volunteer army with specific roles and criteria to qualify for those roles.

The Dominion Voting Machine’s numbered tags are recorded and have specific, serialized numbers, one of the myriad checks-and-balances used in today’s voting system.
“It’s very important for folks to know that we take elections seriously, but we also have fun since all of the workers and electioneers live in the greater Glenside Highlands neighborhood,” Frazier said.
