The 21st annual “Gobble Wobble,” also known as the YMCA Thanksgiving 5K, will take place on November 27 beginning at the Abington ELC (former YMCA), 1073 Old York Road in Abington Township.
The event began in 2003 with about 200 people running through the streets of Jenkintown. It has since grown to four suburban YMCA locations with more than 2,700 participants and raises roughly $200,000 for the YMCA’s scholarship fund.
“Last year’s race across 3 locations grew to more than 3900 participants! But this event is more than a fun run. It raises critical funds that help the YMCA keep our communities active, healthy, and connected. And there’s no better way to feel that connection than when we run together for a good cause. So bring the family, start a new holiday tradition, and build up that appetite,” Bill Seedes, Executive Director of the Willow Grove YMCA, said.
The race begins at 9:00am. To register, you can click here.
