Dr. Nichelle Adegbite-Maraventano, MD, a Rydal resident and owner, founder, and CEO of Peds 360+ in Jenkintown, opened her doors in March 2024.
A 1992 graduate of Abington Senior High School and a graduate of Drexel University and George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences, Dr. Adegbite-Maraventano’s background includes serving as a military physician from 2010-2013, working in the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s ER department, and working with the City of Philadelphia’s Public Health department.
“Drexel is where I got my first taste of research and evidence-based policies,” she said, noting that she believes Peds 360+ is the first integrative pediatric practice in the Glenside area. “I’ve never seen a practice include all the facets that we do. I’ve always wanted to have my own practice, so it’s been very exciting. I felt that I could be that bridge between what we know to be true with clinical research and what we traditionally do in clinical practice.”
The Elkins Park native described her practice as a “jump in philosophies” and a subscriber of the Ubuntu adage, “I am because we are.”
“Our practice really focuses on the whole person versus checkups and understanding the difference between centering your life around your health versus centering your health around your life,” she said. “I think it really asks people to have a different mindset as it pertains to their priorities. We really spend a lot of time with our patients getting to know the whole family. In pediatrics, you can’t just focus on the child. You have to understand the environment in which the child is learning and developing in order to address or prevent any ailments or abnormalities in development. We try to understand that our patients live in an ecosystem, so our practice is set up as such. People seem to be very excited about their local pediatrician being accessible. They enjoy having that direct line of communication with me, and I enjoy it as well. I get to know all the relatives.
“We provide emotional support and a community platform so that everyone can participate in wellness,” she added.

Peds 360+ participates in a variety of community events and offers nutritional classes, mental health and resilience classes, yoga classes for all ages, and massage therapy.
“Your wellness is dependent on many factors, including your stress level. That’s where our other services come in. It’s a way of helping to treat migraines, anxiety, and so on. We know these techniques work. The research has been out for decades,” she said.
