Tim McNamara, a teacher at La Salle College High School in Glenside/Wyndmoor and founder of Bubba Dogs Snack Shack in Sea Isle City, New Jersey, was recently featured in a PHL17 “Down the Store” segment for opening his second location at 43rd and Promenade.
McNamara, a father of three and retired lieutenant commander in the U.S. Navy, opened Bubba Dogs in 2002 on 66th Street, according to the eatery’s website. He teaches about Bubba Dogs in his personal finance class, according to a 2025 CBS News article.
McNamara posted the following on Saturday:
We’re humbled when the media shows up and are always beyond grateful. It’s hard to fathom that it’s been 25 years and we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than opening our second location serving up fresh-squeezed fruit drinks, our world famous hot dogs, and lots of other beach grub.
