Cheltenham police searching for man with Alzheimer’s, last seen in Elkins Park

The Cheltenham Township Police Department is currently searching for a man named Herbert Lee Ellerby of the 7800 block of Clyde Stone Drive in Elkins Park. He has been missing since Saturday, April 6, his family said.

Ellerby is 72 years old, 5’3” tall, and 130 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt, dark blue sweatpants, a black baseball hat, and pushing a personal shopping cart, police said.

He did not have any identification or other personal items in his possession.

Ellerby is known to frequent the Greenleaf at Cheltenham Mall and the Ogontz Avenue and Albert Einstein Medical Center areas of North Philadelphia.

He suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and has gone missing several times previously, police said.
