Youth NFL flag football leagues coming to Abington this spring, registration now open for all greater Glenside school districts

Penn Athletics Club, a Bucks County nonprofit, announced that they are hosting youth NFL flag football leagues this spring in Abington Township.

According to the announcement, leagues will be organized by gender and grade (preschool to 12th). Games will be play on Sundays from 8:00am to 8:00pm on April 12, 19, 26 and May 3, 10, 17, 31. Playoffs and finals will be on Sunday, June 7.

The Abington, Cheltenham, Jenkintown, Springfield, Upper Dublin, Lower Moreland, Upper Moreland, Hatboro-Horsham school districts will be represented, according to their announcement. Residents in these districts are eligible to receive an “Inaugural Season Promotion”.

Uniform Pick Up begins Saturday, March 28th. Each player receives an NFL team-branded reversible jersey and an NFL FLAG belt with flags. Players are required to wear black pocketless shorts and black socks, which can be purchased through the program or provided by the player. A mouthguard is mandatory for all players. Bucks County Orthodontics is supplying a complimentary mouthguard and case to every player, with additional mouthguards available for purchase. Cleats are highly recommended.

Organizers are also seeking coaches.
