The Wyndmoor Hose Company of Springfield Township announced in a letter that it has approved the sale of a department-owned property next to the existing firehouse at 1043 E Willow Grove Avenue.

Proceeds from the sale will be reinvested into renovations of the current facility.

“These renovations will allow the department to modernize the building, bring it up to current standards while replacing outdated mechanical systems that have reached the end of their service life,” the letter said. “The improvements are designed to enhance the safety, functionality, and efficiency of the firehouse for both personnel and the community it serves.”
