CBS News reported that a large tree branch fell and damaged a Wyncote residence at Heacock Lane near Stone House Lane.

Homeowner Jacob Shell told CBS that his roof was damaged by the branch, which then tumbled down onto his car, possibly totaling the vehicle.

Shell, who moved into the home four months ago, estimates more than $10,000 damage to the property.

“At first I thought it was a normal lightning storm, and then there was a massive sound which I realized was probably one of these huge sycamore trees falling and hitting the house,” Shell said.
