Woman arrested for committing identity theft at Huntingdon Valley CVS

The Lower Moreland Police Department announced the arrest of Martina Meija Garcia, 27, for identity theft at the CVS retail store located at 670 Welsh Road in Huntingdon Valley.

According to the report, a fraud victim reported identity theft to police on Monday, February 3.

“The victim received a series of emails from Verizon stating that an order was placed in their name, including two Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max’s, despite not having an account with the company,” police said. “The order was set to be shipped to a CVS Pharmacy located in Huntingdon Valley, PA.”

The following day, a female, later identified as Garcia, attempted to pick up the package at the CVS location and presented a fraudulent New Jersey Driver’s License. The package, containing two Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max’s, was secured by police.

Garcia subsequently admitted to the charges and was arrested. Her charges are below:

(1) COUNT OF 4120 A IDENTITY THEFT
(1) COUNT OF 4914 A FALSE IDENTIFICATION TO LAW ENFORCEMENT
(1) COUNT OF 3922 A3 THEFT BY DECEPTION

Latajsha Monay Weems, 26, was also arrested on February 4 for stealing multiple items from the same CVS.
